Lanesboro Arts Gallery - Sven Lindauer Gallery Visit
The Lanesboro Arts Gallery is hosting a guest artist for Buffalo Bill Days! On Sunday, August 7th at 12:30pm, Sven Lindauer will give a short talk in the gallery, sharing his observations about Buffalo Bill Cody’s connections to Lanesboro and Lindauer’s own work. He may even throw in a few comments about his visual depictions of Scandinavian history!
Addittionally, Lindauer will be in the Lanesboro Arts Gallery Saturday August 6th (11-7pm) and Sunday August 7th (11-4pm) to sign copies of his book, The Arts & Crafts of Ancient Scandinavia, and share his artwork, including his limited edition print of a young Bill Cody!
Sven Lindauer is a resident of Cody, Wyoming. He has spent decades painting and sculpting professionally. As a former historical artist for National Geographic TV, he illustrated various cultures from around the world. Lindauer was also artist of the year three years in a row for the International Wildlife Film Festival, and an official historical artist for the U.S. Marshal Service Museum.
