Young Buffalo Bill Cody
First View of Big Horn Basin – 1874
This painting depicts a young Bill Cody, during his days as a frontiersman in Wyoming, after finishing an expedition in September of 1874 with Col. Anson Mills. Here he sees the Bighorn Basin for the first time; 20 years before he arrives at the townsite which later bears his name, and after receiving the Congressional Medal of Honour. This was before he began his famous Wild West shows…
Sven is now officially represented by the Buffalo Bill Center of the West Museum Store.
